Excel ke classical Database Functions structured tabular datasets par complex multi-condition calculations perform karte hain.
Har Database Function teen compulsory arguments leta hai:
=DFUNCTION(database, field, criteria)
database: Complete table range including column headers (e.g. A1:F6).field: Kis column par calculation karni hai:
"Salary" (Recommended & readable)5 (Fifth column in database range)criteria: Separate criteria table jisme headers aur conditions hoti hain (e.g. H1:H2).[!IMPORTANT] Criteria range ke top row mein wahi exact heading honi chahiye jo database table ke column header mein hai!
Agar criteria H1:H2 mein hai:
| H1 | Department |
|---|---|
| H2 | Sales |
Formula:
=DSUM(A1:F6, "Salary", H1:H2)
// Sums Salary only where Department equals Sales!
A1:F10 set karein aur criteria H1:H2 banayein with header Department aur condition IT.=DSUM(A1:F10, "Salary", H1:H2).Practice live Excel formulas directly in your browser. Real calculation verified by HyperFormula.
Calculate total revenue in cell D6 by summing all items in column D (cells D2 to D5).
Every formula you enter is evaluated by a real spreadsheet engine in your browser — results are not pre-computed.
| # | A | B | C | D |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Product | Quantity | Unit Price | Total |
| 2 | Laptop | 5 | 45000 | 225000 |
| 3 | Mouse | 20 | 500 | 10000 |
| 4 | Keyboard | 15 | 1200 | 18000 |
| 5 | Monitor | 8 | 12500 | 100000 |
